# What has changed in XEO Agent?

> This changelog records every XEO Agent release and every change to the scoring rubric, newest first. Early Access launched with version 0.1.0 for macOS on Apple Silicon and Windows x64. Current features are free and require no account. Rubric changes are also reflected on the checklist page.

## Which release is current?

The current release is version 0.2.1, published on October 8, 2026, for macOS on Apple Silicon and Windows x64. Download links on this site always point at the latest build, and the [download page](/download/) lists checksums. Entries below are newest first.

## 2026-10-08: Version 0.2.1

Added “Sponsored by Limestone Labs” below the sidebar privacy message, with a link that opens limestonelabs.io in your browser. The link supports keyboard navigation and explains if the browser could not open. Audit behavior and the scoring rubric are unchanged.

## 2026-10-07: Version 0.2.0

- Replaced Link intelligence with Backlinks: find connected sources, check individual pages, filter results, and recheck saved links.
- Site audits and backlink searches now use automatic page coverage. Checking stops after 30 minutes, saves results, and explains any incomplete coverage.
- Page findings wrap within their panel. Site favicons, clearer labels, and more readable layouts make the workspace easier to use.
- Sharing an action plan now starts with a ready-to-copy preview and keeps optional formatting out of the way.
- Removed Local review and its model downloads. Local business visibility checks remain available.
- Fixed update controls so a second check cannot interrupt an update already downloading or ready to restart.
- The scoring rubric is unchanged. Automatic coverage may include more pages than older audits.

## 2026-09-29: Version 0.1.3

Added a choice of three local language review models with hardware-based recommendations. This experimental feature was removed in version 0.2.0. The scoring rubric was unchanged.

## 2026-09-22: Version 0.1.2

Audits now refresh page results automatically, recover more clearly from failures, and compare runs with matching scope. Reports have improved visual hierarchy, keyboard navigation, and action copying. Domain lookup runs independent requests concurrently and distinguishes missing registry evidence from availability. The scoring rubric is unchanged.

## 2026-09-08: Version 0.1.1

- Page audits, site crawls, page inventory, and full findings no longer require an account or a paid plan.
- The in-app updater shows a banner when a new version is available. Click Update now to download in place, then restart.
- Public copy: no paid tier. Privacy, cookies, terms, and refunds pages describe a free app with no account.

## 2026-09-01: Website documentation

- Added the Learn, Method, Compare, Download, About, and Changelog pages to xeoagent.com.
- Published the on-page checklist with the finding codes and thresholds the app uses.
- Added markdown alternates for every editorial page, expanded `llms.txt`, and named search and AI crawlers in `robots.txt`.
- No change to the app or the rubric.

## 2026-08-04: Version 0.1.0, Early Access launch

- First public release of XEO Agent for macOS 11 or later on Apple Silicon and Windows 10 or later on x64.
- Single-page and site-crawl audits with SEO, AEO, and GEO scores, findings with evidence, and local history.
- Audit data is stored in a local SQLite database.
- Installers are not code-signed. Gatekeeper and SmartScreen warnings are expected and documented on the [download page](/download/).
- Known limitations: no JavaScript rendering, no live answer-engine sampling, no backlink data, no Core Web Vitals, no Intel Mac or Linux builds.
